The work of an interior designer is inherently tied to a constant flow of problem-solving. Over 18 years, I’ve tackled thousands of challenges and delivered the desired results. One of the most memorable recent cases involved a custom furniture order worth €20,000—a set of American classic-style armchairs and a sofa for the living room, plus two lounge chairs with an ottoman for the bedroom. When the furniture arrived at the site, the client immediately said he didn’t like it—it didn’t look as expected in the interior, and he also visually thought the chairs wouldn’t fit through the bedroom doorway. By walking the client through the entire design and ordering process, emphasizing the furniture’s benefits, and adding a touch of humour, I managed to calm and convince him. After personally arranging everything—including creatively manoeuvring the chairs into the bedroom—he was soon sitting comfortably with a glass of wine, admitting that, in fact, the furniture was absolutely perfect.
